Unexpected and Fun Sources of Writing Inspiration

Where to Find Writing Inspiration

Let's talk more about honing your writing skills —- and using your powers of observation.

We love watching how other people write because inspiration and lessons often come from unexpected places.

For example, there is a Facebook group called “Disapproving Corgis” where members are to post pictures of their Corgis disapproving in some way.

Here are just a few posts from this public group…

Writing Inspiration from the Disapproving Corgis Group

It is such a creative and fun group…and quite an inspiration for captions (photos and text together are so powerful), using quick humour (skills you can incorporate into your product designs) and more.

Pay attention to what people write. You will learn a lot.

If you can join and post in fun groups like this, you can hone your skills directly. If you don’t have a Corgi, but have a dog…try “Crap Dog Photography” or “Thoughts of Dog” – more goldmines of awesome.

We're sure there are tons of other similar groups with different interests as well. If you know any, feel free to put them in the comments.
