(From the Video:) The first question to ask yourself is “How and Where Do I Create Content Best?”
One tip I'd like to give you on this, when it comes to creating synergy between your platforms is get into the habit of consistently creating content in the platform and format you're most comfortable with…then you can repurpose into other platforms.
For me, I love writing emails…and even though I sometimes want to strangle the Aweber editor ugh…it's where I feel my best thoughts and ideas come out.
I also love posting whatever pops into my head into my groups. It’s a great place to keep a record of those thoughts.
Other people might want to take their phone out and do a video or audio recording and speak their thoughts out. It doesn't matter where YOU start, but make it a practice to create the content in the format and on the platform where it feels most natural.
Then you can (or someone on your team can) repurpose that content into other formats and platforms.
For some added thoughts on repurposing and creating content naturally, here are just a couple of other things I do...
I’ve been trying to practice my on the fly speaking skills. They’re actually quite horrible, but sometimes when I’m doing my hair or washing my face, I open a voice recording app that automatically transcribed what I say into editable text.
Sometimes what I say is ridiculous word salad and it gets scrapped. Other times, I read through and edit to make it a written piece of content or a script for a video. I also see the common areas I struggle with in getting my thoughts out verbally, so I can keep improving my skills.
I also have a video app on my phone that allows me to write or paste in scripts so I can easily record video content. I often take posts from my group and modify them slightly so they make a good video script and voila, I’ve got content for YouTube, to incorporate into blog posts, sales pages and more.
Find out where and how you’re most comfortable and work from there. You’ll be a more prolific content publisher in no time.
